I’ve loved my AD15 for years, I was curious if it the hype was real about Original Goat. The function is obviously the same but man it feels so much better! And it’s so much fun with ball bearings now. I have a Cold Steel Engage that I also ordered scales for now that I feel the difference. And it’s great to have a knife customized to you.
These are fantastic! Fit and finish is perfect and installation was straightforward. I love how the handle scale pins are now covered, makes for a very clean look.

I love how it feels in my hand and the difference between before and after look of the knife with these scales is day and night. It’s way wider than G10’s and comfort of holding in the hand is amazing. It was very easy to do a swap of scales, you can look at the picture how it looks now. I strongly recommend them, way better than OME!
I got the black cerakote floating backspacer along with these scales and it made the Deka finally worth carrying. It is still VERY light in hand, but the extra length makes a huge difference. No longer do I fear slicing my palm which is a known issue at the regular length. The feel of the scales is wonderful. Jimping is great. It's a win!

I am a fan of the AD-15, but they don't flick open very easily. This is because of the friction on the washers, and also because the cross pin on the lock mechanism is riding on the ramp on the back of the blade. By adding ball bearings to this knife, it becomes SO much easier to open and close. In addition to that, the scales are beautifully made.
There is also a hardened washer for each side that rides between the aluminum scale and the ball bearing so that the bearings don't wear into the aluminum over time.
This was the easiest scale swap that I have done so far, out of about 10 knives.
This is my third scale set from OG and three are great.
These scales are great. The milling is very crisp but not sharp so it won’t cut you however it will give you plenty of grip fit and finishes outstanding I think I would definitely purchase the style of scale again.

Installation was a breeze with a WhiaTorx set Loctite and KPL.
My knife weighs 2 grams less than stock now too!. Machining was flawless and it takes a while for your order to be made but it is well worth it.I changed out the factory washer/nylon combo for straight oversized Phosphor Bronze washers .01"thick X.250"ID X.625"OD from USA Knifemaker!.Now its even smoother than factory. All in all this is the 4th set of OG scales I have purchased and they are all works of Art, but this is a C/S Demko AD10 so it will see some abuse.
I think I need an AD15 now. These things are that good. Big thanks to the Original Goat for the Smile on my face every time I look at one of my customized knives.
The aluminum scales really make this knife feel solid. Super easy to change out the skins. They fit perfectly. It was worth the wait (about 4 weeks).

I purchased the GOAT SHELL - Aluminum Clamshell - Stoned/Ceramic Coated for my Spyderco Manix 2 LW. I am so happy with these scales. I liked my knife before but did not like the plastic scales and hated the wire clip. These scales do not add any weight but are tough as hell. And they look amazing and they have the 3 screw holes to add a titanium deep carry pocket clip. I am overjoyed with the quality and the look.
These scales are amazing! The machining is perfect, and the custom coating I requested is phenomenal. These take the Vision to a whole new level.
To keep balance of the slim version, the lightweight option was worth it. I own most of the OG patterns now for the Demko AD20 and after a couple of weeks I can confidently say that the Gunstock is now my favorite. The distinct transition from the crisp tight pattern to smooth round edge makes these curiously comfortable, with an enhanced grip. Add in the old school gunstock look with the slightly darker stoned finish completed a true upgrade to an already iconic American folder for me. OG knocked it clean out of the park with this one and the customer service they've provided to me over the years couldn't be better.

A great knife made better thanks to Original Goat. I got the splatter goat in blue base layer and sprayed with highlighter yellow. It is great and durable.
This is now a perfect EDC knife.
Thicker in the hand, heft with lovely curves that feel great and that subtle color. Perfection!
