Love the look! It came out so good. Wasn't really a fan of the deka. Even though I knew the handles were short (I have big hands) and kind of flimsy feeling....I didn't realize just how off it would feel to me. After a little while I stored it away.
I loved the blade shape and it magnacut and I really didn't want to give up on it. Enter Original Goat. I decided on the pattern and I wanted a custom color (H265) with black splatters on what reminds me of a pattern that'd be on the side grips of a pistol. Which is the only bad thing I can say having it with the cerakote is that the paint pretty much fills in the micro milling but the bigger part is still fine which is what I liked about it anyways. And I got the stocky because I have large hands and the deka was just a but too short. So even though I'm not going to use the lanyard hole now it's the perfect size for my hand.
The deka is super light...which is the point of it. But it's to the extreme of being super cheap feeling also. I wanted some more weight to give it some additional heft. So I chose to get the backspace as well. I have to admit the aluminum spacer does little for the weight but looks good on it none the less and I'll take every gram I can get.
Overall, the OG scales are super nice and just what this knife needed for me. I topped it off with an aftermarket clip and now I can confidently say this knife is going to see a lot more pocket time. Also, it's worth noting that it was going to be a 8 week lead time I think. I got it in like half that time. Thanks OG!!
