I waited for a very long time to get these scales. I was able to get updates along the way which helped me wait it out. So glad I did, they are machined perfectly and was easy to swap the scales. Been carrying my MSI non stop since the upgrade. Super coool and adds that premium touch that the MSI lacks.
The scales for the Microtech MSI knife arrived in great condition, with secure and easy-to-open packaging. Installation was straightforward; the knife is designed in such a way that you only need to remove all the screws and the central pivot. Once this is done, the scales fit perfectly with the original Microtech MSI components. After installing them, the knife looks amazing.
In particular, mine has a satin-finished blade with black-coated accents, and the new scales really complement that look. The scales add a slight increase in weight, but I find this makes the knife even more appealing. A knife with a bit of heft is often more capable for tougher tasks. The blade has returned to perfect centering, as it should, and the knife feels solid both when deploying and when closing.
I highly recommend this upgrade, as it not only enhances the aesthetics but also increases the overall value of the MSI. This is definitely a worthwhile investment for any Microtech enthusiast.
