Seems that the blade is hitting it when closing unfortunately. Gimping is nice and aesthetically looks great.
Sorry to hear that you have one of those more 'free-swinging' Hogue Dekas as we do find a few of those from time to time that provide a little bit of an deeper close that interferes with that backspacer...a little sandpaper or a gentle dremel tool will remove enough of that material and give you that clearance that you need! Fit and finish are great
I absolutely love these scales. They fit perfect little extra weight. I would put Original Goats scales on every knife I had if the made them.
