Putting these scales on was extremely easy and they make a huge difference! The handle fills out my XL hands perfectly. The sharktooth pattern provides excellent grip. These scales are worth every penny!
If you own a Hogue Deka, with FRN scales and you haven't ordered a set of OG's scales, you need to rethink the decisions that have brought you to this point. FRN sucks. Why anyone uses it is beyond me. Ganzo wouldn't even do something so ignorant Yet, for some reason, somebody at Hogue raised their hand during a design meeting and said FRN for the scales plus "let's leave out a set of liners so they can pinch themselves while holding the knife, and damn us to Hell for doing such dumb sh!t".
Do yourself a favor and buy a set of these, or more, since they just came out with the splatter option. They made the Deka feel like it should have out of the box, and gave it the custom feel since you pick everything about it. I went extended, shark's tooth in gun grey with a NRA blue back spacer. Looking back I should have bit the bullet, and went hard in the paint, and done a full custom color set. But I was new, and stupid, and didn't know any better. Now that I do, and they have the splatter option, I am going "full retard" with the next set.
