I've installed the scales on my Hogue deka in MagnaCut steel. I cleaned and applied a thin layer of oil on the pivot screw while I had it apart. The scales from original goat were easy to install and look great. I didn't care for the original scales. All though they were functional but the customs look a lot better.
Great scales. They make the knife what it should have been and easy to install too.
These scales were a huge upgrade for the knife, especially the added jimping. Fit and finish are second to non. Totally worth it.
