The only reason it is not at 5 stars is that I have not put them on as of yet. Every indication says it will be 5 star once I am able to install them!
Scales are amazing, great milling work, the starry night finish is phenomenal. With that and the additional 3/16” in length makes it a wholly different knife that’s better in every way. 10/10 would recommend
The Hogue Deka V2 is a great knife, but as many before me have said (accurately), the stock scales are flexible, too light, and feel cheap. I got the SKNY XL GOAT (OG1 pattern) and WOW - this is a whole different knife! The OG scales fit perfectly, and blade centering is near perfect with no fiddling around. The weight is just right and they feel amazing. The XL fits my hands better than the original scales which felt a bit too short (and rounded on the palm-end). You can't really see it in my picture, but my set has the finger jimping which is really well done - super grippy but comfortable at the same time.
