Our two raw aluminum finishes available...
Took 3 months to receive decent aluminum scales. Left a review after they asked me to leave one and told me I couldn’t use it due to other companies names being involved. For 3 months it’s not worth it. The machining isn’t even clean. I have spots on mine that my scratchy phone camera won’t capture after trying over and over again. I’ve been picking at them. The coating is wearing very fast on the rest of the scales considering I’ve only carried it 2 days and haven’t cut anything yet. Maybe I just got a bad product. I was hoping for better especially with the time period. 3 months is a long time to wait for something so small.
We appreicate that review update, and please be sure to check your email for that message from our founder to get that set replaced and/or recoated at no cost, if something was missed by our team! Usually midnight bronze is one of the more durable coatings, but Cerakote can scratch and may not be the right option for every carry!
We appreciate the feedback about our timelines as we know those have been tough as we made it through this growth stage, but many of these options are now available on the shelf for much quicker processing, unless customization is being requested which will require additional processing time and is what sets us apart from other makers! Thanks again for giving us a try, and maybe there will be another option that is ONLY at the OG in the future (as we are the ones that brought these Deka scales to market first) that you will find interesting and allow us another chance to get a GOAT in your pocket!
They feel, look, and fit like they came with the knife from the factory.
I went with Splatter Goat - Make Me The Magician!.. and chose Crushed Orchid for the base layer and Periwinkle for the top coat because I wanted a blurple effect. I went with the Drift scales and was concerned it would look too busy with the colors, but it was perfect. I went single color Periwinkle for the backspacer and it makes for a nice accent. Threw on a blurple fade ano clip from Lynch NW and purple ano ti thumbstuds from Flytanium... and this is now one dressed out Deka! Looks great and went from feeling cheap to world-class all the way.
